This Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to all orders placed with Decobake, including custom cakes, corporate orders, and event-based baked goods. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
1. General Policy
All Decobake products are custom-made to order. Due to the nature of our products, cancellations and refunds are limited and subject to the conditions stated in this policy.
2. Cancellations
2.1 Before Production Starts
- Cancellation requests submitted before production begins may be eligible for a partial refund, at Decobake’s discretion.
- Any approved refund will be subject to deductions for administrative costs, design work, and materials already purchased.
- Approval of cancellation and refund is not guaranteed and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
2.2 After Production Starts
- Once production has started, all payments become non-refundable.
- No cancellations, refunds, or order credits will be issued after this stage.
Production is considered started once preparation, baking, decorating, or ingredient sourcing specific to the order has commenced.
3. Changes to Orders
- Requests for changes must be made as early as possible.
- Changes are subject to availability, production status, and may incur additional charges.
- Decobake reserves the right to decline any change request once production has begun.
4. Refunds
4.1 Eligible Refund Cases
Refunds will only be considered in the following situations:
- A proven production error directly caused by Decobake
- Failure to deliver the order due solely to Decobake’s fault
4.2 Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Change of mind or personal preference
- Minor design, color, or decoration variations consistent with handmade products
- Incorrect details provided by the client (e.g. delivery address or contact information)
- Delays or damage caused by third-party couriers
- Improper handling, storage, or consumption after delivery or pickup
- External factors beyond Decobake’s control, including weather, traffic, power interruptions, or force majeure events
5. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds, if any, will be processed using the original payment method.
- Processing time may take several business days, depending on the payment provider.
- Bank or transaction fees are non-refundable.
6. No Guarantee of Exact Replication
Design references are used as inspiration only. As all products are handmade, slight differences in color, texture, and detailing are normal and do not qualify for refunds.
